The Product |
| |
Nanoyo comes in a form of liquid, whose main active ingredient is an n-type semiconductor photo-catalyst, which are nano-sized Titanium Dioxide (TiO2) particles. This technology was founded by the Japanese, more than 18 years ago. Due to the fact that back in Japan, the product has advanced to a different level of application, Litten Inc. of Taiwan set up a manufacturing plant to manufacture the earlier generation of Nanoyo Photocatalyst coating which is more suitable to market in countries which have not been exposed to such a product. |

1. Photo-catalyst : |
| |
Is the substance which will perform a catalyst function after absorbing the energy
of light. Another words, it refers to the chemical reaction that occurs when light
strikes chemical compound that is light sensitive, such as titanium oxide. When
light comes to contact with the titanium dioxide, a chemical reaction will be
repeated in the immediate region and cause the breakdown of organic toxins,
odors, and more. This is an ENTIRELY DIFFERENT ENVIORMENTAL
CLEANING CONCEPT, which is maintenance and hassle free upon application.

2.Titanium Dioxide (TiO2) |
| |
TiO2 is Non-toxic and approved by the food testing laboratory of the United
State Food and Drug Administration (FDA) , TiO2 is considered to be a safe
substance, and is harmless to human. It is very commonly used daily foodstuffs,
for instance in the wrapping of salami, domestic commodities, cosmetics
( sunscreens, lipsticks, body powder, soap, pearl essence pigments, tooth paste )
Cultivation, and also in special pharmaceutics. Small amounts added to cigar-
tabacco are the cause of the white ash cigar smokers so cherish. The Chemical
Abstracts Service (CAS) registry number of TiO2 is 13463.67.7.
TiO2 is water-insoluble and designated as a food additive under an ordinance of
the Japan¡¯s Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare (as of November 28,1989,
issued to prefecture governments, mayors of ordinance-designated citices and heads of special wards as a notice from the Director of Environmental Health
Bureau, Japan¡¯s Ministry of Health and Welfare).
TiO2 in nano-sized particles is potent photocatalyst than can break down almost
Any organic compound when exposed to light irradiation. It has very strong
oxidizing power which can destroy the bacteria¡¯s cell membrane, induce leakage
of the cytoplasm that contributes to the death of bacteria, coagulate the virus
protein and inhabit it¡¯s activity, capture and kill the bacteria suspended in the air.
Air passing through TiO2 purifier will thus be 99.9997% bacteria free.

3.Nano-Technology |
| |
The Titanium Dioxide particle of Nanoyo is 2 nanometers in diameter
Nanotechnology is not just about the size of very small things, it is the
revolutionary science and art of manipulating matter at the atomic or molecular
scale. More important, it is about the structure and ability of molecular
compounds to ¡°work¡±. Research in areas related to nanomaterial is needed to develop manufacturing techniques. In particular, it is a synergy of top-down with
bottom-up processes.

When matter is as small as 1 too 100 nanometers, many of it¡¯s features will easily
change and have many unique features both different from nano-matter, and
single atoms due to the quanta effect, regional confinement of matter ,and huge
surface or interface effects. The final objective of nanometer technology is to
produce products of special function with new physical and chemical features by
making atoms, molecules and matters presenting their features directly in the
length of a nanometer : the strength of ten times iron could be very light, all
information in a library could be stored in a chip the size of a sugar cube, and
tumors the size of only several cells can be detected.
Titanium dioxide¡¯s photocatalystic characteristics are greatly enhanced due to the advent of nanotechnology. At nano-scale, not only the surface area of titanium
dioxide particle increases dramatically but also it exhibits other effects on optical
properties and size quantization, an increased rate in photocatalystic reaction is
observed as the redbox potential increases and the size decreases.
